AIM OF G.N.M.NURSING PROGRAMME
» Prepare nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team.
» Help Nurses develop an ability to co-operate and co-ordinate with members of the health ream in the prevention of disease, promotion of health and rehabilitation of the sick.
» Serve as a base for further professional education and specialization in nursing.
 
OBJECTIVES
G.N.M.Nursing programmes is designed to prepare the students to:
» Assess the nursing need of clients from birth to death
» Plan and carry out appropriate action to meet nursing needs
» Apply problem solving techniques in nursing practice
» Apply knowledge from the humanities, biological and behavioral sciences in functioning as a nurse
» Demonstrate use of  ethical values in their personal and professional life.
» Recognize the need for continuing education for professional development
» Demonstrate basic skills in teaching patients and giving nursing care to them
 
» Demonstrate interest in continued learning for personal and professional advancement
Hostel Rules
» It is a ragging free zone.
» Hostel facilities are provided for students, provided their behaviour is up to the mark.
» Students are responsible for up keeping their rooms.
» Private use of servants or tipping of servants is not allowed.
» Complaints regarding the servants on other matters should be given to the warden or hostel faculty advisor.
» Fans & Lights should be turned off before leaving the rooms.
» Light should be put off at 11 pm students are expected to retire at this time.
» Visitors are not allowed in students rooms.
» Suspended hours of study will be observed every day form 8-10 p.m. except on Saturday & Sunday.
» Whenever the students are leaving the hostel on vacations or on leave. They should give a date & time of arrival & departure from the hostel to the warden.
» All the hostelites must pay their mess charges on or before 10th of every month.
» Students will have to strictly adhere to the rules & regulations of the hostel.
» The inmates are expected to be in the hostel by 7 p.m. & attend for roll call.
» Only the visitors authorized by the parents at the time of admission will be permitted to meet the students.
» Consuming alcohol, taking drugs, smoking, chewing Gutkhas, spitting on the wall & corridors are strictly prohibited in the hostels.
» The hostilities should not cause any disturbance to the neighboring people.
Genaral Rules & Regulation
» A candidate must apply in her/his own handwriting for enrolment the Training.
» A candidate on being admitted in the Institution for course should sign on the declaration from provided for the purpose on the rules and regulations which is kept with the Principal.
» The candidate will not be admitted to the course, unless She/ He is found physically fit by the member of the Medical Staff appointed by the head of Institution.
» Student Nurses will be under the supervision and guardianship of the Principal throughout the period of their course. While on duty, they will be under the direction of the ward Sister or Staff-Nurses in charge of the ward.
» When off duty, student nurses are not allowed to enter the hospital wards without previous permission from the Principal/Hostel authorities.
» In the case of illness, the student nurse must report immediately to the Principal/Warden.
» A student nurse is not allowed to receive gift or gratuity of any sort at any time from the patients of the hospital or their relatives.
» A student nurse shall not be granted any leave of absence and this would impede her/his training. In her/his own interest she/he must refrain from asking for the same.
» While in training the conduct of the student nurse is expected to be strictly ethical. She/he is expected to observe the written and unwritten rules of the institution, and take a healthy view in her/his studies and work and discharge her/his duties cautiously so as to merit a place in the health team of the nation.
» No certificate on any account will be given before competition of the prescribed period of training.
» Student Nurse not reporting for duty or refusing to do night duty or whose work or; conduct is not satisfactory will be liable to punishment even dismissal.
» Student on admission should write their full name, permanent address and the name and address of; a person who will be communicated in case of emergency.

» On the day of re-opening of the college the student should be ready to start work if for any reason student comes late, she/he must see the principal alongwith an application requesting for permission to attend the class/clinicals.
» Student can take leave of absence from classes only with the prior permission of the Principal.
» Misbehaviour with any staff member of the college will result in being debarred from the exam or expelled from the institution.
» If the students are involved in any fighting or disturbance he/she will be suspended for 10 days from the institute.
» Ragging is an offense. Any student/students involved in such activities will be immediately expelled from the institution.
» The student must clear all the dues of the college & hostel before the commencement of exam otherwise she/he will not be allowed to attend the exams.
» Any student who damages the reputation of the college in any way is liable to be expelled. If any student discontinues the course he/she shall clear all dues from the remaining duration f the course. If fails to pay, his/her original certificates will not be returned.
» Each student should be punctual in attending the college during prescribed hours.
» Should be well dressed while coming to the college and clinical.
» Should greet the lectures whenever they happen; to see them for the first time in the school/hospital/hostel etc.
» All students should be present in the college on the last & the first working days of the vacations.
» If the student returns late after the vacation, a fine of rupees 25/- will be charged for each day & then apply they will be allowed to enter into the class.
» If the students have any problem. They should inform the class representative and the class representative will intimate to the class coordinators. If the problem is not solved at the class coordinator’s level. Then the class coordinator will present to the Principal. No students should by-pass the above mentioned channels. Unless until problem is utmost urgent/serious.
» All the student should pay the fees before starting of the academic year.
» If any student found in use of liquor or narcotics on Hospital duty or in Institute premises, he/she will be suspended from the Institute for a specific period or expelled from the institution.
» Possession of weapons, explosive and other objectionable material in Institute/Hostel will result in being expelled from the Institution.
» Organizing or attending any meeting during study/practical practice hours will be punishable.
» Coming on Hospital duty or entering the Institute premises in an unpreventable appearance will be liable to punishment.
» Non co-operation with instructors/tutors, superiors or fellow students for proper discharge of duties in hospital/institution will result in being debarred from the exam or expelled from the institution.
» A student is not allowed to soliciting any monetary gain or other advantages from the patient or their relatives.
» Disrespectful behavior or misbehavior towards any patient, their relatives, fellow students or staff member of the Institution/Hospitals will be punishable.
» A student will intimate in writing to eh Principal for changing of address.
» No Student shall leave Headquarter without obtaining prior permission from the competent authority.
» Fess once deposited will neither be refunded back nor adjusted in any circumstances.
» Taking active part in politics will result in being expelled from the Institution
» Student can not go to other Hospital except prescribed Hospitals or practical practice.
