Eligibility for Admission GNM
1. Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:
- 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 45% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government.
However Science is preferable. - 10+2 with English having 45% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by
Indian Nursing Council - 10+2 with English having 45% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized
CBSE board/State/Centre - Registered ANM with pass mark.
- The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed as above Reservation
2. Reservation
a) For disabled candidates: 3% Disability reservation to be considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria with regard to age and qualification will be same as prescribed for each nursing programme.
Note: A committee to be formed consisting of medical officer authorized by medical board of state government and a nursing expert in the panel which may decide whether the candidates have the disability of locomotor of 40% to 50%.
b) 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates
Any other reservation as per the State Govt.
Note: Reservation shall be applicable within the sanctioned number of the seats by INC and not above it.
3. Admission of students shall be once in a year.
4. Students shall be medically fit.
5. Minimum age for admission will be 17 years. (as on 31st December of that year) The upper age limit is 35yrs. For ANM/ for LHV, there is no age bar.
Eligibility for Admission BSc Nursing
1. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
2. Minimum Education:
- A. candidate should have passed in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination (10+2).
- B. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having science subjects and English only.
- C. A candidate belonging to SC/ST or other backward classes, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 45% as stated above.
- D. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (N).
3. Candidate shall be medically fit.
4.Candidate shall be admitted once in a year.
5. Reservation Policy:

6. Entrance/Selection Test:
Selection of the candidates should be based on the merit of the entrance examination held by University o competent authority
7. Duration:
Duration of the course shall be four years including internship.
8. Vacation:
8 Weeks’ vacation shall be given in each year.
Entrance Test (PNST / GNMTST)
The selection of the candidates shall be based on the entrance examination and personal interview conducted by thecommittee.
A merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the entrance test and interview. Thedecision of the selection committee shall be final. The entrance test and interview of the candidates for admission will be held in the college on 25th June .
Admission Procedure
All the original educational qualification certificates and Registration fees Rs. 10,000/- will be deposited at the time of submission of application from. Admission will be done on the merit basis the registration fees of the admitted student will be adjusted in the fees. Registration fees of the student who is not eligible for the admission will be given back within 15 days of declaration of merit list.
Registration fees of selected candidate who does not report to college within 15 days of declaration of merit list will not be refunded.
